A New York resident has won the top prize in the New York Lottery’s Million Dollar Raffle, officials announced Tuesday.

Shaurna Walters, a Jamaica, Queens, resident, claimed the $1,000,000 prize as one of 15 winners selected in the promotional raffle.

After required withholdings, Walters received a lump sum payment of $612,247.

The winning ticket was purchased at J&E Dynamic Store, located in Jamaica.

The raffle commemorated the bicentennial of the Erie Canal.

Lottery officials reported that other top-prize winning tickets were distributed across multiple regions of the state, including Chenango, Dutchess, Genesee, New York, Schenectady, Suffolk and Westchester counties.
