MANHATTAN, Mont. — Tuesday night paired two of the hottest teams in high school basketball against each other in Three Forks and Manhattan Christian.  The Wolves entered the night having won six of their last seven games, meanwhile the Eagles have lost only once since December 13, having won 11 of their last 12.

Manhattan Christian seized control of the game early, opening a 20-6 lead in the first half.  Andrew Kimm led the Eagles in scoring Tuesday, posting an incredible stat line in what was his final home game in a Manhattan Christian uniform.  Kimm finished with a game-high 18 points, nine rebounds and five blocks. Zach Venema tallied eight points and Max Venhuizen added seven.

Kanon Reichman led Three Forks with 17 points and Mannix Woodland scored 11.

Three Forks scored four of the game’s first six points before Manhattan Christian exploded on an 18-2 run the lasted deep into the second quarter.  Three Forks ended the first half on 7-2 run to cut the deficit to single digits at halftime.

The Eagles didn’t let the Wolves build off the momentum found at the end of the first half, holding the Wolves to just nine points in the third quarter while scoring 18 to take a 40-22 lead into the final frame.

Manhattan Christian would hang on for the 44-32 win to move to 12-4 on the season.

The Eagles end their season with back-to-back road games, first against Gardiner Feb. 12 then against Sheridan Feb. 14.

Three Forks has three games remaining in their season which include two home games against Lone Peak (Feb. 12) and Ennis (Feb. 19). The Wolves will play Manhattan in their final road game.
