Winter weather advisory

In New York City, Long Island and northern New Jersey, light freezing rain and freezing drizzle are expected. The total ice accumulation could create slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges for the commute on Wednesday.

The NWS said power outages could be possible.

In Westchester and Rockland Counties, mixed precipitation of snow and ice is expected to accumulate to a light glaze, according to the NWS.

“Hazardous” conditions could affect the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commute in those areas.
