Mariachi El Bronx, the alter ego of punk rock legends The Bronx, have released their final single, “Songbird” from the upcoming album Mariachi El Bronx IV. The album will be released on Friday, 13, through ATO Records. It will be the band’s first new album in 12 years. “Songbird” deals with the theme of how an artist tackles the challenge of writer’s block. The song arrives with a video directed by Blaise Cepis.

Director Blaise Cepis shares his thoughts:

“Whenever I direct a music video, I’m just trying to make something 11-year-old me would’ve stayed up late hoping to catch on 120 Minutes or Headbangers Ball. Thankfully I found 8 kindred spirits in mariachi el Bronx, who were the most incredible collaborators and were down for anything. I had such a great time with the band and the insanely talented gorgeous cast, I think 11-year-old me would approve.”

The band will celebrate the record release with a show in Tijuana, Mexico, on February 14.
