Donovan Richards Jr. was sworn in to his second term as Queens Bor­ough President by NYS Attorney General Letitia James on Sunday, February 8 at the Goldstein The­atre at Queens College. Following the swearing-in, Richards ad­dressed the gathering and paid tribute to the slain civil rights mar­tyr Andrew Goodman, who at­tended Queens College, and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who spoke at Queens College. Other speakers included US Sena­tor Chuck Schumer, NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, NYS Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz, NYC Comptroller Mark Levine, NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, NYS Attorney General Leti­tia James, and Tameeka James, Donovan’s wife.
