A Florida resident has won a seven-figure prize from a scratch-off ticket purchased in New York City.
Daniel Kavian of Fort Lauderdale claimed a $1 million top prize on the New York Lottery’s Xtreme Winnings scratch-off game.
He received a one-time lump sum payment of $468,720 after required withholdings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Kew Convenience in Kew Gardens, Queens.
All top prizes for the Xtreme Winnings game have now been claimed. However, valid lower-tier prizes may be cashed through Oct. 29, 2026.
Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4.3 billion in total sales during fiscal year 2024-2025. School districts in the five boroughs received more than $1.4 billion in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
