For the last four years, Zach Iscol served as the point man in City Hall whenever an emergency hit the five boroughs.

Most recently, he has been helping Mayor Zohran Mamdani deal with the aftermath of a winter storm and a deep freeze that swept across the city, which left 18 people dead.

On Tuesday, he was grilled by local lawmakers about whether the city could have done more to take homeless people off the streets during the big chill.

The city’s Emergency Management Commissioner Iscol joined NY1’s Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday on his last day on the job to talk more.
