New York attorney cited on DWI charge in Plattsburgh

Clinton County Attorney Jacqueline Kelleher was charged with driving while intoxicated last month after she was stopped by New York State Police in the town of Plattsburgh.Police said Kelleher, 61, of Ausable Forks was pulled over on Route 3 on the night of Jan. 30. They said troopers saw a vehicle that remained stopped at a green light despite there being no other traffic blocking its way.Troopers pulled Kelleher over to check on her, and while they were doing so, they saw signs of impairment.Kelleher then failed standardized field sobriety tests, police said. She was taken to the Plattsburgh barracks, where she provided a breath sample with a blood alcohol content of 0.11%, putting her over the legal limit.Kelleher was cited on the DWI charge and also was issued vehicle and traffic tickets.
