Amtrak Northeast Regional service between New Haven and New York City is suspended for the rest of the evening due to a loss of overhead power.
Amtrak Northeast Regional also said Train 55 was canceled between Springfield, Mass., and Washington, D.C., due to overhead power issues.
From New York to Washington, Amtrak Northeast Regional said it will use different trains for service.
As of 7 p.m., Amtrak did not have an estimated time for service to resume.
Amtrak said anyone with tickets for the New Haven to New York trip may have their tickets honored on Metro-North, and that anyone traveling between New York City and Boston may rebook for another day.
