NY weather: Be prepared for light snow in part of New York Wednesday night

A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 11:05 p.m. for light snow until 11:45 p.m. for Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester and Suffolk counties.

“At 11:02 p.m., an area of snow was along a line extending from near Modena to 7 miles southeast of Fishers Island and moving south at 15 MPH,” says the weather service.

Expect light snow in the following locations:

Wallingford and Naugatuck around 11:10 p.m.New Haven and Danbury around 11:15 p.m.Monroe around 11:20 p.m.Bethel around 11:25 p.m.

The weather service states, “Be prepared for locally hazardous travel, with a dusting of snow possible on untreated and elevated surfaces. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.”
