Halloween is a magical time of year here in Western New York.

The cooler air, the crunchy leaves, and the amazing decorations that seem to go up the day after summer ends really make this season special. But no Halloween is complete without a good old-fashioned jack-o’-lantern! For people like the Andrusz family, though, their pumpkins are anything but old-fashioned.

We’ve had the chance to speak with the Andrusz family about their pumpkins many times, and one thing that always stands out is their dedication to growing bigger and better pumpkins every single season. This year’s edition is no exception. With pumpkins weighing in at more than 2,400 pounds, their hard work has certainly paid off!

I was sent these pictures below that show just how massive these pumpkins can get! Check out this incredible carving done by Patrick Cavanaugh. I have a hard enough time with a simple jack-o’-lantern for the kids, let alone this incredible masterpiece that would look amazing on any front porch (if you had one big
enough!).

Congratulations to the entire crew and the Andrusz family on another successful season. From what I’m told, they’re already working to make next year even bigger and better!

The forecast is calling for a chance of showers on Halloween night. Thankfully, Halloween falls on a Friday this year and there are plenty of indoor activities for families to enjoy. There are also plenty of Halloween parties for the adults to check out all over the Buffalo and Western New York area!
