The Emma Bowen Foundation (EBF) kicked off 2026 with smiles, laughter, and meaningful networking at its Alumni Winter Social held at Automatic Slims in Manhattan’s West Village. The evening brought together EBF staff and more than 20 alumni for an intimate gathering of small bites, drinks, and camaraderie. Alumni reconnected over shared experiences, discussing past accomplishments and future goals in media, entertainment, and technology. The highlight of the night was raffle winner Herbert Aidoo-Nyarko, who earned a one-on-one dinner with EBF President & CEO Nikki Bethel, creating a special opportunity for mentorship and insight.
Founded in honor of Emma L. Bowen, a lifelong ad vocate for equal opportunities in media, EBF has grown into a leading force in shaping industry talent. Bowen collaborated with executives from major networks like NBC and ABC to form the Foundation for Minority Interests in Media, which was later renamed in her honor. Her vision centered on inclusive hiring, professional development, and pathways for young talent, laying the groundwork for the programs and initiatives EBF runs today.
