An entity related to Genesis Group Homes Inc., which offers residential care to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, has paid $4.1 million for a new headquarters, located not far from its current offices in Brooklyn Park.
Jeff Hart, senior vice president at Suntide Commercial Realty, represented the seller, identified as Jaxel Properties LLC in Buffalo. Genesis will lease from the buyer, identified as 9401 Winnetka Avenue North LLC in Brooklyn Park.
The 35,241-square-foot Class A office warehouse at 9401 Winnetka Ave. N. in Brooklyn Park is located on the southeast corner of Minnesota 610 and Highway 169.
The newly acquired building was developed in 2003 on 4.61 acres. It includes 17,534 square feet of office space, 14,702 square feet of warehouse space and 3,005 square feet of technology
There are two dock doors, one drive-in door, 20 feet of clear height and 123 surface parking stalls.
Genesis offers residential care to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in supervised group homes throughout the northwest metro of the Twin Cities, Brainerd, Marshall and Duluth. Genesis currently leases its headquarters at 8245 93rd Ave. N.

Hawkins Inc. has invested $9.57 million to expand its footprint in Roseville, acquiring a 77,468-square-foot office-warehouse near its headquarters.
Hawkins bought the property from Exeter EQT, based in Radnor, Pennsylvania. The price works out to $123.53 per square foot.
The two-story building was developed in 1999 on 7.89 acres in the Gateway Business Park.
It includes 13 dock doors, 23 feet of clear height and 132 surface parking stalls
Ramsey County assessed the property’s value at $7,541,800 in 2025, generating a tax bill of $190,540.
Hawkins, founded in 1938, is a water treatment and specialty ingredients company that formulates, manufactures, distributes and blends products for its Water Treatment, Food & Health Sciences and Industrial Solutions customers, according to its website.
Thousands of water treatment facilities, manufacturers, food and dairy producers, research labs and other organizations depend on Hawkins for the chemical products ranging from potassium carbonate to chlorine to FCC grade citrates and phosphates.
It has 66 locations across the country and more than 1,000 employees. Its Roseville headquarters is a 48,833-square-foot building located at 2381 Rosegate.
