King and Queen of Corbet’s delivered. With plenty of fresh snow and some decent visibility, it was time for the athletes to throw down. Notably absent was Dani B, with Quinn Wolferman stepping in to take his place. Snowboarder Pat Fava even brought out a jib, and while no skiers opted for that this year, we’d love to see a lip blind 2 into it one day. Shoutout to everyone who dropped into the legendary couloir!

Run 1:

Kaz Sosnkowski dropped in first, styling a loose handdrag 3 into Corbet’s and landing bolts, followed by a right 3 on the middle jump and a super clean cork 9 blunt on the final hit. Piper Kunst, the second skier and first woman to drop, threw a massive backflip and stomped it clean, becoming the second woman ever to land a backflip into the couloir, unfortunately on her last jump she went too big on a front flip, slightly over-rotating it. Lalo Rambaud brought the first butter of the event with a nose butter cork 7, almost landing it but losing it and tomahawking down the run. Wyatt Gentry got a full pull, going huge on a left 3 and stomping it, followed by another left 3 off a small drop and lacing a cork 7 on the last jump. Tristan Lilly threw a massive slow front flip and stomped it clean, but washed out on a big backflip on the next hit – he still pleased the crowd on the final jump with a massive zero. Kelly Hileke’s first run was savage – the clouds rolled in a bit but that didn’t stop him from throwing a massive dub backy to bolts to start things off, followed by a proper screamin’ seaman on the next hit, and finished with a dub front barani on the last jump. Last year’s queen – Ana Eyssimont hucked a massive backflip on her first drop but went too big and over-rotated to her back. Alex Hackel dropped in with a clean cork 7 safety into a big left 3, capping it off with a left dub 9 safety on the last hit for a super clean first run. Valerie Festavan went big on an air in on her first drop, landing clean before a snow snake took her out. Kendall Goodman opted for the nose butter into the couloir too, but unfortunately his nose got caught on the butter and he landed on his side. Quinn Wolferman closed it out as the first skier to drop in switch, stomping a switch left tail butter 5 into a big front flip and finishing with a perfect switch left dub 9 safety.

Run 2:

Lalo Rambaud was the first skier to drop in run 2, looking for redemption on the left nose butter cork 7, but unfortunately wasn’t able to stay up on the landing. Tristan Lilly on run 2 was dialed, stomping the front flip again and this time landing the big backflip, then swerving over and hitting a massive cliff into the last jump, lacing a left misty 7 safety. What a run by Tristan. Wyatt Gentry opted for a big left cork 7 but unfortunately punch-frontflipped the landing. Ana Eyssimont on her second run went for the backflip again but wasn’t able to put it to her feet. Wynter McBride’s second run was a full pull, going for straight airs into the couloir and on the second jump, finishing with a big 360 on the bottom jump. Kaz Sosnowski on his second run landed another right handdrag 3 to bolts into a right 180, popping another switch 180 but getting caught up in the snow, and finishing with a clean right cork 9 blunt. Valerie Festavan’s second run saw her stomp the straight air into the couloir, but unfortunately another snow snake took her out in the chopped up conditions. Piper Kunst went for a different entrance from the skier right side and took a chill second lap down with a straight air on the third jump. Quinn Wolferman on his second run chose to go for a chill drop into the couloir followed by a massive backflip, but unfortunately looped out on the landing. Kelly Hilleke on his second run went over on the rider’s right side of Corbet’s, dropped into a big drop stomping it, front-flipping the second jump, and finishing with a zero on the last jump to end it off.
