QUEENS, NY — Police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a deadly stabbing in Queens 24 years later.

Ho Shin, 44, was arrested and extradited from South Korea on Thursday after he fatally stabbed Dae Hyun Kim, 22 in 2002, police said on Friday.

The Jan. 6, 2002 incident sparked from an argument between Shin and Kim that quickly turned deadly.

Shin stabbed the 22-year-old and another man who survived his injuries, police said.

Another suspect, who was 16 at the time, was arrested after the incident and was sentenced to prison for the homicide.

Police say Shin was the actual attacker. He has since been charged with murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He is awaiting arraignment in Queens Criminal Court.

Defense attorney information for Shin was not readily available.

An investigation remains ongoing.
