A 26-year-old man has died in the Allerton section of The Bronx following a fatal shooting, police said.
A police spokesperson said that on Friday, Feb. 13, at around 00.20 a.m. officers from the 49th Precinct were informed by a 26-year-old man that he had been shot in the chest in front of 660 Thwaites Place. “The victim was transported by department vehicle to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased,” the spokesperson said. “There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.”
Police said the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
