Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay advises Brooklyn Beckham to reflect on upbringing and repair relationship with family

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has offered his support to Brooklyn Beckham as the aspiring chef navigates a tense family dispute with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. Speaking to The Sun, Ramsay, a long-time family friend, described the situation as “very difficult” but expressed confidence that time could help heal the rift.

Ramsay, 59, confirmed he has been in contact with Brooklyn, 26, calling their relationship “solid” and praising his character. He encouraged Brooklyn to reflect on his upbringing, saying, “Remember where you came from… one day that penny will drop,” emphasizing the importance of appreciating his parents’ support.

The chef also addressed speculation surrounding a dance at Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz. Ramsay dismissed claims that the event was inappropriate, stating, “There was nothing salacious. Everyone was having fun, having a dance,” and defended Victoria Beckham’s response to online criticism.

Ramsay highlighted the parenting qualities of David and Victoria Beckham, noting their dedication to their children and expressing hope that Brooklyn would eventually restore his relationship with them. He added that while Brooklyn has limited contact with relatives on social media, he and Ramsay continue to follow each other.

The chef reflected on his own family experiences, including childhood struggles in Glasgow and challenges involving his brother, Ronnie. He also discussed supporting his daughter Holly Ramsay’s husband, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, during family tensions surrounding their wedding.

Ramsay’s guidance to Brooklyn comes amid his busy professional life, including the launch of his Netflix documentary Being Gordon Ramsay, which provides an inside look at his restaurants and family life, and the opening of his latest Michelin-starred venture, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High, in London.

Ramsay remains active in philanthropy, supporting Feeding Britain to provide meals for children in need, and emphasizes lessons from his modest upbringing as motivation for giving back.
