The top two New York Lottery prizes in Upstate New York in 2025 were both worth $10 million, according to state data.

David Miller of Cortland and Daniel Durham of Canton both won $10 million jackpots in 2025. They tied for the biggest prize in Upstate New York and the second-biggest in the entire state last year.

Miller won his prize playing $10,000,000 Deluxe with a ticket from Grand Union of Cortland. Durham won on a $10,000,000 Bonus ticket from a Stewart’s Shops location in Canton.

Behind them was Larry Hartig of Syracuse, who won over $8.8 million on a Lotto ticket purchased from Polge Wine & Liquors in Syracuse.

Upstate New York includes everything north of Rockland and Westchester counties.

Statewide in 2025, the biggest prize was a Powerball jackpot that went to DTSL Holdings LLC. The prize amount was over $123 million.

The lottery paid out a total of over 151,000 prizes worth at least $600 last year.

A total of 71 prizes were worth $1 million or more. The median prize amount in 2025 was $2,070.
