The British elite circles were shocked by a family mutiny when Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham ended his relationship with his parents in a bombshell social media post. Along with accusing his mother of ‘hijacking’ his first dance, he claimed his famous parents “value public promotion and endorsements above all else,” creating much buzz over the family’s internal relations and chaos. Now, one of the couple’s most trusted friends, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has spoken out on the Beckham family feud claiming Brooklyn will reconcile with his parents one day and also sharing what truly happened in the infamous first dance.
The Beckham family’s mood
In a conversation with The Sun, the 59-year-old said that it has been a “very difficult” situation for the family. He explained that he had personally seen how much the parents love Brooklyn and how they have protected him from troubles. “Victoria is upset, and I know 24/7, seven days a week, just how much David loves Brooklyn.”“I’ve seen firsthand just how good parents they are. David as a dad is just incredible. They’ve both put so much energy into their kids, and I know just how many times they’ve got Brooklyn out of the s***,” he stated.
A matter of time before Brooklyn is back
Ramsay, who recently made headlines during his daughter’s wedding, said he loves Brooklyn and has “messaged a little bit” with him, also calling his heart “incredible.” However, he signalled that the aspiring chef was infatuated with love and carried away with it. Adding that it was just a matter of time before he introspected internally and realised what his parents mean to him. “He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It’s such a good thing to do.””But it’s hard, isn’t it, when you’re infatuated? Love is blind. It’s easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back. I think it’s going to be a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a good look at himself and understands just what his parents mean to him.”He advised the 26-year-old to remember where he came from and that his parents were not going to be there forever. “But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop.””I just want Brooklyn to take a moment for himself. And remember: you’re half mum, half dad. And you’re an amazing young man. But, boy, they’ve done more for you than anyone did in your entire life.”
Are hopes on David Beckham?
Ramsay said time would heal the broken relationships in the family and placed his trust in David to get the “relationship back on track.”While Brooklyn has blocked many of his relatives on social media, he and Ramsay do still follow each other. The chef with almost 20 million followers has even backed Brooklyn’s culinary ventures, which many have questioned. Considering he and his wife Tana have been friends with the Beckhams for almost three decades, his predictions might as well be true. Additionally, it’s not like the chef is unaware of family feuds. His daughter Holly Ramsay recently married Olympian Adam Peaty in a wedding where his mother was snubbed from the invitations, making much of a social media buzz. The snub led to his mother, Caroline and her sister Louise lashing out at the new daughter-in-law on social media. However, as per Ramsay, the family had treated Peatys like the ‘royalty’ and had ‘welcomed them’.
