A Caesar salad hates to see Aerin Frankel coming.
It was discovered that the goalie for the U.S. women’s hockey team is such a big fan of the menu item that has an Instagram account where she rates different Caesar salads she eats.
The account, painbyromaine, has been posting photos and reviews since May 2024. Some she just describes and photographs, others come complete with a rating.

“Caesar with light crispy homemade croutons, generous amount of shaved parmesan & well dressed romaine 🤌9.1/10,” she posted while dining in Toronto last September.
Frankel doesn’t exclusively post salads, as evidenced by her first post in Italy. Over the weekend she shared a series of food photos from dining out around Milan, but promised “some more Caesar content soon.”
Sure enough, her first Caesar review came Saturday, giving the salad she had on Valentine’s Day a 7.8 out of 10.
Frankel’s Caesar salad reviews have come from all over, including some spots in the New York City area. Here is a list of some of the local spots she has reviewed so far:
Bar Bonobo – Manhattan: 8.2/10: “Parmesan was a hit. We would have preferred some croutons and a little more anchovie taste in the dressing but otherwise it was SO GOOD!”
Bobo’s Cafe – Chappaqua, NY: Called it a “hometown hero.”
Bounce Beach – Montauk, NY: Said she’s “normally anti-anchovies but this one will play 👏🏻”
The Great Georgiana – Brooklyn, NY: No rating given. Commented on the kale.
Bar Primi – Manhattan: No rating given.
Polpo Ristorante – Avalon, NJ: No rating given.
Il Posto Ristorante – Avalon, NJ: No rating given, but said it was “Our favorite wine (The Prisoner) & our favorite salad (Caesar obviously) at our favorite place”
4 Charles Prime Rib – Manhattan, NY: No rating given, but said “We love a 🥗supporting brother”
Don Angie – Manhattan: No rating given, but commented on the amount of parmesan cheese that topped the salad.

More Italian food could be coming from Frankel, whose time in Italy isn’t over yet.
