BAYCHESTER, Bronx (WABC) — A 37-year-old man was shot in his left leg and robbed of his gold chain at a gas station on Bartow Avenue in Baychester early Monday morning, according to police.

EMS rushed the victim to a local hospital, and he’s listed in stable condition.

Police blocked the area off to investigate.

Eyewitness News spoke with a gas station attendant who witnessed the crime and was visibly shaken.

He said the victim was fixing a truck for about thirty minutes, before things took a turn for the worse.

Right now police are searching for two men who cops say got away in a black vehicle. One of the men wearing a green vest.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with any information is urged to call police right away.
