PLATTSBURGH, N.Y (WCAX) – New York State police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a hit and run.
They released a picture of a black SUV, saying this car was stopped at a crosswalk heading north on Ampersand Drive in Plattsburgh. A woman in a motorized wheelchair was heading south, the car hit her and drove off. The unidentified woman was taken to UVM Medical Center, where she is in stable but critical condition. Police say this car is believed to have front end damage, possibly to the front bumper, and if you have seen this car or have information, they ask you to contact state police in Plattsburgh.
