1. Family turns to TikTok to find stem cell match for NYC teen

A Queens father’s viral TikTok plea to save his 15-year-old son has drawn more than 20,000 swab kit requests in less than a week.

Max Uribe needs a stem cell transplant and hasn’t found a perfect match.

Only 30% of patients match within their family, and Hispanic patients face lower odds in registries. The National Marrow Donor Program created a “Team Max” page as the family pushes to add 1 million donors.

2. Man shot by NYPD officers in Queens arraigned from hospital bed

Jabez Chakraborty, 22, was arraigned from his hospital bed Friday after NYPD officers shot him inside his Queens home last month.

Prosecutors charged him with attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Police say body camera video shows him lunging at officers with a knife during a mental health crisis.

3. Some federal funding restored to Gateway Tunnel Project

About $30 million in federal funding was restored Friday for the Gateway Tunnel Project under the Hudson River.

More than $200 million had been frozen since October, prompting lawsuits from New York and New Jersey. The remaining money is expected next week. A judge ordered an update by Tuesday, and it remains unclear when construction will resume.
