PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – A New York man faces charges for a hit-and-run collision.
It happened Thursday evening on Ampersand Drive in Plattsburgh.
New York State Police say Terry VanValkenburg, 54, of West Chazy, struck a woman in a motorized wheelchair.
Police say their investigation led them to a green 2008 Jeep operated by VanValkenburg.
Police say they arrested VanValkenburg on Sunday and that he now faces felony charges.
The victim is being treated at the UVM Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.
