THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — What should have been a routine stop for gas and fixing a flat turned violent on Monday morning.

Police said a 37-year-old man had been at a gas station on Bartow Avenue in Baychester for about an hour to fix his tire when two men walked up, pulled out a gun and shot him in the leg.

The men were said to have then taken the victim’s gold chain and driven off in a black vehicle.
