STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — IlluminArt Productions will present “Charlotte’s Web” at On Your Mark Playhouse from Feb. 7 through Feb. 15, bringing E.B. White’s classic story to life for Staten Island families.
The stage adaptation follows Wilbur, a young pig who befriends Charlotte, a spider whose wisdom and words transform his future. The production features a dynamic ensemble cast portraying barnyard animals, with two young performers sharing the role of Wilbur.
Director Kristi Sorkin said the story explores the meaning of family and friendship. “At the heart of the story, Charlotte’s Web teaches us that the families we’re born into and the families we create along the way are there to support us through the good times and the bad times,” Sorkin said. “These are the families who overcome challenges together. These are the friendships that last a lifetime.”
On Your Mark Playhouse is located at 129 Clinton Ave. Tickets are on sale now, with special discounts available for groups of 10 or more. IlluminArt Productions has created a family-friendly Play Guide available on the ticket site and will offer interactive pre-show activities for audiences who arrive 30 minutes before showtime.
