LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — The Queen’s Parade rolled through downtown Lafayette on Lundi Gras, captivating onlookers.
The parade, which honors Queen Evangeline, featured 14 krewes and is a long-standing tradition in the Hub City.
As the parade made its way from Pontiac Point to Cajun Field, spectators eagerly waved for beads from the krewe floats.
“Krewe de Attakapas is so ready to ride,” said Kristin Bodin with the Krewe of Attakapas. “We have three floats tonight. We invite everybody out to enjoy this beautiful weather.”
The Mardi Gras festivities are set to continue with more celebrations.
