Teenage Carlisle United forward Seb Mason made his debut for Queen of the South in their latest Scottish League One encounter.
Mason , who is on loan with the Doonhamers for the rest of the season, was introduced by manager Peter Murphy in the closing stages of their home clash with Alloa Athletic.

It was the 18-year-old’s first outing since linking up with the Dumfries side, but his debut ended in disappointment as a late Alloa strike consigned Queens to a 2-1 defeat.
Next for Mason and his loan club is a trip to Montrose next Saturday.
Dan Hopper ’s latest outing for Workington Reds came in their 3-3 draw at Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.
The young United loanee came off the bench in the 64 th minute of the Northern Premier League Premier Division clash, which saw Billy Barr ’s side lose a three-goal lead, Kai Nugent scoring in between two Daniel Ogwuru goals before the hosts hit back.

Jake Allan was not involved for Workington, who go to Morpeth Town next weekend.
Jamie Hodgson was a substitute for Penrith in their 2-1 home defeat to Crook Town in Northern League Division One. Jim Nichols’ Bonny Blues return to action at Thornaby tonight.
Other Carlisle loan players were ruled out of action by postponements on Saturday.
Josh Grant saw Altrincham’s National League trip to Woking called off thanks to a  waterlogged pitch. The Blues man had made his first start in last Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Wealdstone, and they return to action at home to Braintree Town next weekend.

In National League North, Ethan Robson and South Shields saw their trip to King’s Lynn Town postponed, with their next game coming at home to Telford next Saturday.
A Northern League postponement, meanwhile, cost Simon Rigby the chance of further action with Kendal Town, as their game at Newcastle Blue Star was off. The Mintcakes go to Newcastle University in Thursday’s Brooks Mileson Memorial League Cup tie before a league trip to West Auckland Town two days later.
And there was no action for Thomas Randall and Lewis Lambert with Carlisle City, whose game at Thornaby was off. Dan Kirkup ’s side host Boldon CA in the league cup tonight.

A number of ex-Blues were in the thick of the weekend action, meanwhile.
The FA Cup fourth round saw Owen Moxon play at the Emirates Stadium in Wigan Athletic’s 4-0 defeat at Arsenal. The Cumbrian will now be playing under new boss Gary Caldwell, who has left Exeter City to join the Latics.

Keeper James Trafford helped Manchester City to a 2-0 win against Salford City.
Other former Blues in notable cup action included Jack Armer , who was in the Burton Albion side that took Premier League visitors West Ham United to extra-time before losing 1-0, while Regan Slater lined up for Hull City in their 4-0 defeat to Chelsea.

In League One, Jack Marriott hit a hat-trick for Reading in their 3-2 win against Wycombe Wanderers.
League Two action, meanwhile, saw Notts County’s Matt Dennis credited with an own goal in the Magpies’ 1-1 draw at Bromley.
In the National League, Mark Beck scored struggling Gateshead’s consolation in their 2-1 home defeat to Brackley Town.
In National League North, there was a milestone for Andy Preece as the Chorley boss took charge of his 900 th game as a manager in their 1-0 defeat to Radcliffe.

National League South saw the division’s player of the month Angelo Balanta score a late winner for Hornchurch in their 3-2 victory against Tonbridge Angels.
In NPL Premier, George Waring was at the double with two goals for Warrington Rylands in their 4-0 win at Morpeth.
There was another goal for 44-year-old Derek Asamoah , who converted a penalty in Sittingbourne’s 3-3 draw with Faversham Town in the Isthmian South East Division.
North of the border, Joe Hugill netted on his full Kilmarnock debut as Killie lost 3-2 at home to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Will Patching was on target direct from a corner for Coleraine in their 1-1 draw with Carrick Rangers in the NIFL Premiership.
And Tom Aldred was on the scoresheet in the Indian Super League in Mohun Bagan’s 2-0 win against Kerala Blasters.
