NEW YORK (PIX11) — Alternate Side Parking rules in New York City have been suspended for roughly three weeks due to ongoing snow removal operations and holiday observances.

With unseasonably mild temperatures and rain recently, snow has begun melting at a much faster pace than it had since New York was hit with a massive winter storm.

When will Alternate Side Parking resume in NYC?

The suspension of Alternate Side Parking on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was in observance of multiple holidays: Presidents’ Day/Lunar New Year’s Eve, the Lunar New Year, Ash Wednesday and Losar (Tibetan New Year).

As of Tuesday, the schedule on 311 has Thursday marked for the first day of resumed Alternate Side Parking schedules.

As for trash and recycling pickup, delays in service due to the snow cleanup efforts are expected to end by Friday.
