BROOKLYN, Ohio

Suspicious situation, Ridge Road: On Sept. 23, dispatch received a 911 call from a Ridge Road business; however, the caller wouldn’t say what the issue was.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who it turned out was just looking for a ride home.

During the conversation, the Cleveland woman became irate and was cited for both disorderly conduct and also telephone emergency abuse.

Identity theft, Newberry Drive: On Sept. 24, a Newberry Drive resident came to the police after discovering someone fraudulently attempted to withdraw funds from their account at a Pennsylvania bank branch location.

The man said he was just notified about the identity theft incident.

There are no suspects.

Police are investigating.

Gun issue, Ridge Road: On Sept. 22, a UPS employee made a startling discovery when prepping a package to be delivered.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said a customer dropped off a package; however, inside was a loaded gun.

The customer was located and charged with failure to secure.

Disorderly conduct, Cascade Crossing: On Sept. 24, police were dispatched to Sheetz regarding a customer yelling at employees of the Cascade Crossing gas station.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said the man was mad after having trouble with his electric charging port.

Despite the fact the officers were helping him out, the Cleveland man continued to yell and cause a disturbance.

He was eventually arrested for disorderly conduct.
