Good evening, Central New York. We’re wrapping up the day for you with the most important stories you need to know and your weather outlook.
Your Weather Planner
Tonight will be variably to mostly cloudy with areas of fog and mist. Rain showers or a wintry mix will develop late, especially across Central New York and the Southern Tier. Lows will be in the 20s and 30s.
Unsettled weather returns as widespread precipitation moves in for Wednesday. Expect a messy mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain. A glaze to a few hundreths of an inch of ice can’t be ruled out near the thruway corridor, with snow accumulation farther north and east. A lot, if not all, of the precipitation will bypass the far North Country.
Our weather briefly quiets back down for Thursday with some sunshine breaking through. We do have to keep tabs on another chance at wintry weather to end the week.
