Mayor Zohran Mamdani released his preliminary budget for the upcoming fiscal year Tuesday afternoon, hoping to address the city’s multi-billion-dollar budget gap; which he says he inherited from the Adams administration.
The proposal comes a day after Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a $1.5 billion state investment over two years to help stabilize the city’s finances.
City Councilmember Linda Lee joined “The Rush Hour” on Tuesday to react to Mamdani’s announcement.
