Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham left their followers feeling pretty uncomfortable when they shared a seriously intimate selfie to their Instagram pages on Sunday night amid Brooklyn’s ongoing feud with his famous family.

The defiant display of love was posted one day after Brooklyn’s 14-year-old sister, Harper, seemingly extended an olive branch to her big brother on Valentine’s Day, with the gesture following reports that Brooklyn had covered up his tattoo tribute to her.

To get you up to speed, Brooklyn sensationally dropped an explosive six-post statement about his family to his Instagram story last month. It came after a year of speculation that all was not well between them.

I’m sure that you are well across what went down by now, and you can read a full breakdown of the entire feud here. But if you missed it, all you need to know is that Brooklyn made a whole heap of allegations against his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, and brothers, Romeo and Cruz. He essentially claimed that they’ve been trying to come between his and Nicola’s relationship for years, and ruined their 2022 wedding day.

Brooklyn added that he has struggled with “Brand Beckham” coming first his entire life, and that growing up in the spotlight left him with overwhelming anxiety. He also explicitly stated that he does not want to “reconcile” with his family.
Notably, Brooklyn concluded the statement with: “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
None of the Beckhams have publicly acknowledged his statement, although Cruz was caught liking playful memes about it on Instagram, and even posted and deleted a TikTok that appeared to call out his brother for “hating” on him and Romeo.
Brooklyn previously had all three of his siblings’ names tattooed on the sides of his fingers, but in early February, it was noticed that these tattoos appeared to have been covered with a black-and-white cloud design.

In addition, Cruz revealed just before Christmas that Brooklyn had blocked his family on Instagram — and this even appeared to include Harper, with neither Brooklyn nor Nicola following the teen’s private Instagram account.

Despite this, Harper made it clear that she has no hard feelings toward Brooklyn in two sweet Valentine’s messages that she shared on Saturday. In the first, Harper posted a throwback photo of herself, Romeo, Brooklyn, and Cruz alongside the caption: “Happy Valentine’s Day to the best big brothers in the whole wide world x” Poignantly, Harper added Fergie’s song “Big Girls Don’t Cry” to this post.
The second throwback photo also included all three brothers, with Harper having her arms wrapped around Brooklyn in the pic. She captioned this one: “I love you all so much, words can’t describe it x” she also tagged Brooklyn, Cruz, and Romeo’s accounts. While Harper’s profile is not public, Romeo and Victoria shared her posts to their own stories.

However, Brooklyn has not publicly acknowledged his sister’s olive branch. Instead, he appeared to double down on his and Nicola’s relationship once again with a PDA-heavy post that left followers side-eyeing the couple.

In a black and white photo that was shared on Sunday, Brooklyn and Nicola can be seen making out, with Brooklyn shirtless in the snap. Although Brooklyn is taking the selfie, both his and Nicola’s eyes are closed, with Nicola tenderly caressing her husband’s face.Brooklyn shared it alongside the caption: “Happy Valentine’s Day baby x I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to call you my valentines every year x I love you more than you know and I will forever protect and love you x.”

Meanwhile, Nicola posted the same photo in color, and her caption read: “i love you more everyday!! i’m so lucky i get to call you my forever valentine 🩷🎀🌸 you’re the most beautiful human and i love doing life with you 🩷💋🩷”
But the intimate nature of the photo was immediately called out, with a popular comment on Brooklyn’s post reading: “Am I the only one who thinks this is weird???” Somebody else asked: “Why not just tell her in person. This post seems more like it’s trying to prove a point then about love.”
Many others referenced Brooklyn’s statement, with one writing: “‘We just want our privacy’ – continues to post intimate moments that are carefully constructed for social media.” Another added: “This is weird to post when you say you don’t want attention 😂”

The sentiment was much the same over on Nicola’s post, where one person commented: “Wonder how many selfie shots it took to get the perfect angle so fake.” One more wrote: “Too much PDA. Get a room. You’re in a loving blissful marriage. We get the picture. So does your family Brooklyn.”
“Selfie of something that shouldn’t be staged,” another said, while somebody else wrote: “Have some shame!”
