Auto parts shop employee shot in Brooklyn Park

A worker at an auto parts store was shot and critically hurt Tuesday night in Brooklyn Park, leaving police and the community searching for answers.

Brooklyn Park police say officers received a report of a shooting at the AutoZone along Brooklyn Boulevard at around 9 p.m.

When they arrived, officers found a man who works at the store suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police say.

Officers brought in a K9 and called for a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter to help search the area for suspects. However, no arrests have been announced at this time.

Investigators are still working to determine a motive for the shooting.
