New York’s Cash4Life lottery game will hold its final drawing on Saturday, making way for a new daily game that promises a top prize of $1 million a year for life.
The replacement game, Millionaire for Life, debuts on Sunday, with the first drawing scheduled for 11:15 p.m.
The new multistate draw game costs $5 per play and requires players to select five numbers from 1 to 58 and one Millionaire Ball number from 1 to 5. The nightly drawings offer a second-tier prize of $100,000 a year for life, along with seven additional prize levels. Overall odds of winning any prize are set at 1 in 8.47.
Players can win cash prizes by matching just one white ball plus the Millionaire Ball, or by matching two white balls. Tickets for the inaugural drawing will be available for purchase starting at 5 a.m. on Sunday.
Winners of the top prize may choose between guaranteed annual payments for at least 20 years or a one-time discounted cash lump sum.
Millionaire for Life joins the New York Lottery’s draw game lineup, which features Powerball, New York Lotto, Mega Millions, Numbers, Win 4, Take 5, Quick Draw, Money Dots and Pick 10.
