Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. presented a proclamation to Community Board 6 at their monthly meeting on February 11, 2026, commemorating the 120th anniversary of Forest Hills. The Senator also gave copies to residents of the neigh­borhood who attended the meeting.

The proclamation highlights Forest Hills as one of the bor­ough’s most historic and vibrant neighborhoods, praising its architectural beauty, cultural richness and exceptional com­munity spirit. It also recognizes its civic-minded residents and the strength of its local businesses and schools.

“Today I am proud to recognize the neighborhood of For­est

Hills and its rich history as we mark its 120 years of community, culture, and resilience,” Addabbo said. “I am presenting this proclamation as a re­minder to embrace our shared heritage. Every street tells a story, and every neighbor adds to the fabric of Queens.”
