Syracuse leaders are expected to discuss the Good Cause Eviction Law on Thursday evening.
There is a town hall-style meeting at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
The law limits rent increases and provides protections against retaliatory evictions.
The state adopted Good Cause Eviction in 2024, and it took effect immediately in New York City, but municipalities in the rest of the state must opt in. Last year, Syracuse lawmakers decided against holding a vote on the legislation.
