MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – In a case that dates back nearly four years, Riley County police arrested a man in connection with battery and assault Wednesday afternoon in Manhattan, officials said.
The arrested man was identified as Tyrell Harper, 29, of Manhattan.
Riley County police said Harper was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated battery and aggravated assault around 3:16 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.

Officials said the arrest stemmed from a report filed in June 2022.
Harper was issued a total bond of $60,000 and remained Thursday in the Riley County Jail.
Authorities said Harper also was arrested Saturday morning Feb. 14 in connection with aggravated domestic battery; aggravated kidnapping; aggravated intimidation of a witness-victim; theft; battery; criminal damage to property; and endangering a child.
Officials said Harper was being held on a $75,000 bond in connection with the Saturday arrest.
