STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — There were two reported vehicle thefts during the week of Feb. 9 through 15, according to NYPD data.
Despite the number, the amount of automobile thefts reported in the borough this year has gone down.

Car thefts reported through Feb. 15 dropped 16% (27 vs. 32) when compared to the same period in 2025, according to the NYPD’s latest CompStat figures.
The database indicates that four cars were stolen on Staten Island between Feb. 2 and 8.
On Feb. 14 at 4 a.m., a car theft was reported at Harvey Avenue and Delmore Street in Westerleigh.
Later that morning, two hours later, another car theft occurred at Lathrope and Willard avenues also in Westerleigh.
