Binghamton University is adding women’s flag football to its list of athletic offerings.
It comes as the NCAA has recognized women’s flag football as an emerging sport for women.
BU officials say this now means there are 11 men’s and 11 women’s sports on campus.
Its first season is set for the spring 2028 semester.
“This allows young women in high school or even growing up in elementary school to now strive to come to Binghamton to compete on a college level playing women’s flag football,” said Eugene Marshall Jr., director of Binghamton University Athletics.
