WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – A 46-year-old Watertown man faces animal cruelty charges for allegedly starving his dog.
According to city police, an American Bully owned by Jamine Howard was severely malnourished and had multiple sores, hair loss and no palpable body fat.
The two-year-old dog weighed 35 pounds.
Howard was charged with a misdemeanor count of overdriving, torturing and injuring an animal.
He was ticketed to appear in city court on March 6.
Police said the dog has been placed with a foster family.
