STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Firefighters battled a blaze at a home in Great Kills on Saturday evening.
The fire was reported on Ainsworth Avenue near Durant Avenue at around 4:30 p.m.
According to FDNY Battalion Chief August Orlando, the fire is believed to have started in the kitchen ceiling and then spread to the attic.

Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control.
