“I’m the Queen’s second son, you can’t do this to me,” former Prince Andrew is said to have shouted as he was being told he was being “expelled” from the Royal Lodge residence, before his arrest, following shocking revelations about his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

He was forced to move out of the 30-room mansion in Windsor, where he had paid a “symbolic rent” for decades, in early February, the Daily Mail reported.

King Charles III was reportedly particularly concerned about the revelations about his brother’s ties to Epstein. However, Andrew was reluctant to leave the royal residence to move to Wood Farm, on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, where he currently resides.

A few days earlier, he had been photographed smilingly greeting citizens while riding a horse. According to British media, this sight proved to be the “final straw” for courtiers, who demanded his removal from Royal Lodge.

Speaking about Andrew’s departure, an insider told The Sun: “He refused to step down or take any responsibility. When asked to leave, he was so arrogant that he kept repeating loudly: ‘But I’m the Queen’s second son, you can’t do this to me.’ It’s unbelievable that he used the Queen’s name to defend himself. No one is sure if he understood the dire situation he was in.”

Andrew was known as the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite son. Another source added that the disgraced former prince made it clear he “didn’t want to leave” the estate he shared with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson./Panorama.al
