“This campaign is about the people of Bayonne. It’s about building a city that works for everyone where families can thrive, small businesses can grow, and our neighborhoods remain strong and safe. Tonight is just the beginning,” Booker told the crowd of over 200 people on hand.

“Our city deserves leadership that is accessible, accountable, and focused on results. Together, we’re going to move Bayonne forward.”

At the venue, Booker outlined key priorities of his campaign, including strengthening public safety, promoting responsible development, supporting local businesses, enhancing transparency and accountability in city government, and investing in infrastructure and community services.

His running mates for non-partisan May 12th municipal elections are 1st Ward Councilman Neil Carroll, former 2nd Ward Councilman Sal Gullace, 3rd Ward Councilman Gary La Pelusa, the council president, with Ramon Veloz and Melissa Enriquez-Rada at-large.

Booker first announced he would be running for mayor in mid-November, with former Bayonne Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski filing with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (NJ ELEC) about two weeks later, as HCV first reported.

She formally launched in January and announced her fifth and final running mate last week.

Ashe-Nadrowski’s ticket has  Gene Perry running in the 1st Ward, Board of Education Trustee Melissa Godesky-Rodriguez in the 2nd Ward, retired Hudson County Sheriff’s Office Det. Tommy Gillen, Miriam Salama and Mark Bottino for council at-large.
