The Empire State Building has been a staple of New York City’s skyline for nearly 95 years.
Yet the history of the men who built the 102-story building has gone mostly unrecognized for decades.
Now, the stories of the working-class, immigrant and indigenous people who built the architectural wonder are being explored in the new book, “Men at Work: The Empire State Building and the Untold Story of the Craftsmen Who Built It.”
Glenn Kurtz, the author, joined “The Rush Hour” on Friday to talk about the laborers of the iconic structure.
