CITYWIDE — THE BLIZZARD WARNING AND weather conditions stretching throughout the Northeast have prompted the full closure of all New York City Public Schools, according to announcements published on the NYCPS website and via Notify NYC around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22. Mayor Zohran Mamdani also confirmed the closure and suspension of remote learning, urging everyone to stay off the roads. A travel ban that took effect at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22 will last until noon on Monday, according to PIX 11 News.
Spectrum News NY1 ran a segment showing Mamdani calling one surprised kid to announce that Monday would be a “full classic snow day.”
