Hunters Point Parks Conservancy (HPPC), Ottomanelli’s on the Water, the PS/IS 78Q PTA, the PS 384Q PTA, and local businesses are collaborating for the 3rd annual Halloween on the Waterfront from 4 pm to 8 pm on October 25. Local businesses and organizations will provide seasonal activities and trick or treating from 4 to 6 pm by Ottomanelli’s by the Water; HPPC will host a costume contest and parade at 5:30 pm at the Oval in Hunter’s Point South Park; and at 6:30 pm HPPC will host a screening of the original Beetlejuice movie.

Last year’s Halloween on the Waterfront saw over 2,000 people come out for the costume contest and screening of The Addams Family. In addition to the costume contests, there will be fall family activities from local businesses, and pumpkin decorating while supplies last from the PS/IS 78Q and PS 384 PTAs, with pumpkins generously donated by Foodcellar Market.

Frank Ottomanelli’s by the Water, the venue sponsor for the event, will have a special menu available with seasonal Halloween-themed cocktails.

“HPPC is thrilled to bring our popular Halloween on the Waterfront event back for a 3rd year! We love helping to welcome in the spooky holiday season and provide a family festival that brings thousands of people to the waterfront, and we are excited to see this year’s costumes,” said Jessica Sechrist, Executive Director, Hunters Point Parks Conservancy.

“Halloween is a time filled with whimsy and magic and PS/IS78 is always delighted to be able to partake in Halloween on the Waterfront and bring that special feeling to our kids and share it with our greater Long Island City community,” said PS/IS 78Q PTA representatives.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of this year’s Halloween on the Waterfront event. Events like this bring families together and remind us how special the Long Island City community truly is,” said a representative from P.S. 384Q PTA.
