“Thundersnow,” or lightning and thunder during a snowstorm, was spotted over the Manhattan skyline on Monday, February 23, as a major winter storm hit the region.

This footage filmed and posted to X by Alec Kennison shows snowfall and lightning flashing over the One World Trade Center during the early hours of Monday morning.
