Wearing a miniskirt on same the day of a blizzard might not be the first wardrobe choice most people would make. But Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim isn’t most people—and, besides, she’s more than used to a little cold.
Fresh out of the 2026 Winter Olympics, Kim—who earned a silver medal for the Women’s Snowboard Halfpipe event—touched down in New York City just in time for a historic Northeast blizzard. Rather than let the weather dampen her spirits, Kim showed out in two looks that felt reminiscent of spring.
She pulled the first outfit from Thom Browne’s spring 2026 runway collection. The look consisted of a white miniskirt with triangular strips of navy blue, red, and white striped material, fabricated to appear like pleats. Up top, the preppy theme continued with a light-blue collared blouse, a beige fitted blazer, and a red-and-white diagonal striped tie. She finished it off with a brown-and-white handbag, white pumps, and long white varsity socks.

Later that same day, Kim continued her skirt streak in a bright-orange patent leather midi skirt—a welcome pop of color against the blizzard’s white wintry landscape. She completed her ensemble with neutral tones, opting for a brown collared jacket, a black leather clutch bag, and black pumps.

Kim previously opened up about her mindset heading into the 2026 Games in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s September 2025 issue. “I just want to go back to loving it again,” she said. “I really got to feel that this past season. I loved being out there. I was having so much fun at the competitions, and that’s a really rare feeling when you’ve done something for so long and under so much pressure. It’s really easy to lose that love.”
