Brooklyn lost 115-104 against the Atlanta Hawks Sunday, failing to cover as a 9.5-point road underdog with the Under (228.5) hitting. The Nets did not have any player score 20 points. The Nets have lost 4 straight, and they have failed to score over 110 points in any of those losses, even finishing with less than 90 points in 2 of their last 3 games.
The Mavs beat the Nets 113-105 Jan. 12 while covering as a 3.5-point home favorite with the Under (219.5) cashing. Dallas has covered ATS in both matchups vs. Brooklyn this year (119-111 win Dec. 12), splitting the Over/Under in those 2 previous matchups.

I lean toward the Nets to cover here as +110 underdogs, especially with Flagg out, but I feel more comfortable with the points.
BET NETS +2.5 (-115).
With Flagg out, look for G Michael Porter Jr. to have a big game and for C Nic Claxton to play a pivotal role in this matchup as well. The Mavericks will find scoring difficult outside of what Middleton provides, and I expect that Porter Jr. will be able to outduel Middleton in this one.
Be aware that both teams are terrible ATS, with both having just 25 ATS wins this season, and with both teams tanking, anything is possible here.
LEAN UNDER 225.5 (-115).
The Under has hit in Brooklyn’s last 3 games and is 32-24 for the Nets this season. On the other side, the Under is 2-1 in Dallas’ last 3 games and 30-26 for the Mavs.
Both teams are terrible offensively as both are bottom-5 in offensive rating and bottom-10 in points per game, making the Under the much safer bet here.
This is a lean because the Over/Under is 5-5 in both teams’ last 10 games overall.
